Lucretia Borgia
Once upon a time, dressed in black and white attire at one of my many infamous Samhain (Halloween) house parties, I wore a silver poison ring given to me by my mother. (Why my mother would have and give me such a ring is still a mystery.) Someone saw it and instantly proclaimed me "Lucretia" after the legendary Italian Renaissance Borgia matriarch. A patroness of the arts, Lucretia Borgia (also known as Lucrezia) was accused -amongst other things- of murdering her enemies "black widow" style in her own bed (via foxglove digitalis poison powder) from such a ring. The name Lucretia has stuck to me like black duct tape ever since.
