When Perseus beheaded the gorgon Medusa, he birthed two creatures -- the winged horse Pegasus and his brother, the giant Khrysaor (so named for the golden sword he bore). Khrysaor, who by some accounts presided over the summer months of the harvest season, disappeared from record at some point after siring tri-formed Geryon with the nymph Kallirhoe -- some reports claiming he placed among the stars, some insistin he was killed by Herakles in the form of the Erymanthian boar.

His sword, the Aor, survived the disappearance of immortal Khrysaor. Through the ages, the Aor had been kept from prying eyes by a cult sacred to Echidna (half-sister to the gorgons and mother of monsters) until it was secreted away by rogue followers of Aphrodite, imbued with her essence by arcane ritual and 'lost' in space and time.

The Aor eventually washed up in Cardiff Bay, where PHARM geneticists, in a misguided attempted to clone Khrysaor using the trace dna found within the pommel of the sword, created a being part gorgon, part erotes. . .destined to keep to the shadows for the safety of humanity while eternally suffering the pangs of unrequited love.

Shortly after creation, Odetta Mo Excrucior (so dubbed by the enigmatic Captain who aided in the escape from PHARM facilities and the evasion of UNIT represectatives) fled Wales and has since been playing pivotal behind the scenes roles in theatre, dance, and music performances on the east coast of North America. Reviled and adored in equal measure, Odetta Mo has been most recently heard (although never seen) playing bass, violin, dumbek and classical guitar in the Boston, MA area.
